In about a month, Brian and I are headed to Palm Springs, California for a wedding. His cousin is getting married and this is one of the trendiest, most hipstery couples I know (perhaps not saying much, but they are very trendy and hipstery). I would like to look good, feel comfortable, and fit in at the wedding. Needless to say, this is where I need your help.
The wedding is taking place here and the bride and groom take engagement photos like this. So the question is, which of these dresses do I wear?
Option #1
Option #2
Please disregard my disheveled appearance - it was a LONG day at work.
Okay, let me know your thoughts! And, thank you in advance.

Assuming both dresses are comfortable, I'm going to vote for dress #1.
From their engagement photos, and even the location's site (from pictures to the font they use), I get a whimsical-artsy and fun-loving, light-hearted vibe. The first dress offers more of this feeling with a freedom of movement and a fun pattern. While very cute, I don't think the second dress quite pulls off this feeling as well. UNLESS you put some expressive jewelry with the second dress. Depending on the accessories, this might change my mind.
This is, of course, only my opinion. =)
The thought of Palm Springs sounds nice right about now!
Totally go with dress #1. It's fun and has a cool 50's vibe which I think is "in" with hipsters right now.
Dress #2 is beautiful, but may be a little too chic for their artsy, bohemian setting.
There's my two cents!

My first thought was number 2 but after I looked at the wedding site and esp. their engagement pictures, I say go with dress #1!
I say dress #1. Very cute!
I like 1. Karen in MI. It seems to fit with the links you gave better than 2, in my opinion, but I'm not artist (like Amanda)
I like the first dress too! I suppose you didn't actually need my opinion after all the other votes for it, but it was my favorite of your order too. So I'm reaffirming!
Thanks everyone! I also really like dress #1 so I was glad to see my thinking affirmed. Now, to find a cardigan...the desert gets cold at night, especially in March!
Um, Sarah Yates photography? Yes please!
