Not nearly as fun as you'd think

I have now been on vacation for two full days and some hours and it is really not as fun as one might think. I spent Monday cleaning the house, doing laundry and making dinner. Tuesday I slept a lot, laid by the pool for an hour, watched tv, ran some errands and made blueberry cobbler. So far this morning, I have gone for a walk, watched tv, done my stretches and had breakfast. Now I'm waiting for the pool to open so I can spend some time there before a shower, lunch and an appointment to get my hair dyed. Brian has softball tonight which means I have loads of alone time and I am already bored out of my mind. I needed this break, no doubt about it, but I wish I had more teacher friends that I could hang out with in the summertime.

Move to Wisconsin and hang out with me!
I feel the same way the first few days of vacation but then that feeling disappears and I can't imagine what life was like when I had to go to work everyday! Give it time!

Thanks for the encouragement - I'm hanging in there! I'm just worried that I'll get used to it just in time to go back August 4th!

mmm... blueberry cobler...

And I wish I knew what it was like to be bored the first couple of days on a month long break. That sounds wonderful! Boredom used to be a bad thing for me, but not anymore. :)

Where do I sign up for boredom? Sounds fabulous.. although I'm sure a little weird for you. My pasty legs would love some pool time :-)
