Neighborhood living

So far this week, nearly every time I have ventured out into my neighborhood on errands, etc, I have run into at least one person I know. It helps that I know a decent number of people who live in or near my neighborhood (because it's a cool place to live, ya know), but still. I saw my friend Sarah out with her friend on Tuesday night, Ryan and Sarka on Wednesday night, this morning I ran into a former student and just now, on my way home from the market, I ran into my old principal. I have realized two things from all of this: 1) I must get better at small talk & 2) I should probably stop leaving the house looking like a total schlub. Oh, make that three - I really do like living in this neighborhood. Even if it means sidewalk small talk and not always just throwing on the nearest tank top and jeans.
